The event industry plummeted into uncertainty in 2020 and had to make swift adjustments to survive. The switch to virtual events and gatherings is arguably the most successful adjustment that came from COVID. Online meetings, conferences, exhibitions, and even parties became commonplace as people adjusted to working, living, and socializing from home. Going into 2021, the future remains unclear as to when in-person gatherings will return. For now, the event industry is focused on enhancing the virtual and hybrid event space by making the most of the advances in technology that have not only made the shift to virtual events feasible, but also successful.

Virtual Events can either be thought of as a challenge or an opportunity, and to be honest, it has a bit of both - just like physical events do. One of the biggest opportunities (we think) in Virtual Events is the chance to really create a spectacular show for the theatre in your attendee’s minds.

We’ve been doing Online Events through event websites, RSVP management and mobile apps since we started out in 2013, but now we’ve had the chance to really take a deep dive into providing Virtual Event solutions for our event planners, and we are looking forward to pushing the boundaries with our innovative team even further.

The popularity of virtual events has been increasing in the past few months since global lockdowns and the traditional way of searching for venues to host events have changed.

Even when hosting virtual events, spending some time searching for venues is still required to ensure the event is professional and that it provides the look and feel that you as an event planner, are carefully crafting.
