Virtual Events can either be thought of as a challenge or an opportunity, and to be honest, it has a bit of both - just like physical events do. One of the biggest opportunities (we think) in Virtual Events is the chance to really create a spectacular show for the theatre in your attendee’s minds.

We’ve been doing Online Events through event websites, RSVP management and mobile apps since we started out in 2013, but now we’ve had the chance to really take a deep dive into providing Virtual Event solutions for our event planners, and we are looking forward to pushing the boundaries with our innovative team even further.

Something people have struggled to get their head around with virtual events is if and when they should be charging for attendance. There are a few ways to go about it and it doesn’t only have to be through the traditional way of charging for ticket sales (though that will be our first point!). Read on for more ideas.

Recently we held an event for a conference that ended up with 3 times (!) the amount of anticipated attendees, all able to retrieve their CPD points after attending! The event managed to connect guests from all over South Africa to listen to top speakers in their field, get up to speed with developments in their industry, and stay at the forefront of their profession. The event was filled with expert information, high engagement and interaction from all guests, with Live Polls, Live Q&A, commentary, speaker ratings and ice breakers.

The venue of the future isn’t some far-out location with lights on the wall that respond to emotions, or futuristic decorations that create a “year 3000” feel for event attendees – the venue of the future is one that allows attendees to attend no matter where they are in the world, to avoid the cost and emissions of travel, to protect their lowered immune systems or care for young children or family members. The venue of the future is one where interactivity and engagement in sessions and networking have been provided for, and where they can get a similar experience to those able to attend the event physically. The event of the future is none other than… wherever in the entire world your guests choose to attend your event from!

This past weekend featured an incredible highlight for us with THAT. FUN. FIT. FEST being held completely online through our mobile app and streamed to more than 2800 people around the world tuning in to be a part of the fitness magic.

THAT. FUN. FIT. FEST is a fitness event that brings together friends and families of all ages every month to have the most epic fitness fun around – the vibe created is incredible, and it was amazing to be a part of translating that into a completely online event, especially in this time when fitness and fun are so needed.
