A green, paperless event - PAGE Ministerial Conference
On the 10th and 11th of January 2019, the Partnership for Action on Green Economy held the 3rd PAGE ministerial conference at the CTICC in Cape Town which saw around 500 delegates from local and international governments, civil society, the private sector, development partners, media and the general public assembling at the event.
Flock played a major role by...
providing the mobile event app for the event, allowing attendees to actively participate in sessions and debates, as well as having access to all event information and documents. The theme was around advancing Inclusive and Sustainable Economies and aims to get closer to the goal of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable development. In line with these ideals, Flock ensured that the event was completely paperless with the mobile event app.
The previous two conferences had been held in Berlin in 2017 and Dubai in 2014. Following suit, this year’s conference was a success, and we were honoured to be part of it. Our mobile event app enhanced the experience through consistent and interactive app updates, agenda updates, document sharing, live polling and live Q&A sessions as well as the main sessions of the conference.
The event app was downloaded by 395 delegates, about 80% of potential users, with some users having almost 5000 views on their app on various pages, over the 3 day period. Just over 400 questions were asked live over the event app throughout all main and concurrent sessions held at the conference and over 1260 live polling results entered and used as part of speaker presentations and discussions. All live polling questions were loaded on the back end of Flock's event planning software to provide and seamless experience on mobile event app.
“I want to thank you, once again, for the great support that you and your team provided during the PAGE conference! The app was really at the core and successfully contributed to the event’s inclusivity and greening”
